Hi Ladies,
Hi Ladies, I'm Jinny and I'm English speaking Korean. I joined the site two days ago and I found this group while I was looking for a playgroup in my area for my one year old daughter. So glad to see you everyone!!!
I try to teach my girl Korean while my DH talks to her in English. Sometimes it's very hard to do when my husband is around since he can't speak any Korean! As a result, I speak in Korean to my girl and I switch to English when I speak to my husband. I know it's not a good way because consistancy is the most crucial element in order to teach two or more languages to your childrean. But how can you ladies manage this?

Hello Jinny I'm Alba, Mexican mother of two, You are doing just fine, you are speaking naturally with your daughter, is just the way that we are, they need to learn both languages at the same time, is not going to confuse her, It just going to come naturally to her as is eating or sleeping, kids have an amazing way to learn thing in this stage of childhood, by the way is a privilege that they born with, have two languages in stead one. don't pressure yourself, whatI normally do is speak in spanish with my kids and when we requiered the attention or help of my husband we all speak in English, also that comes automaticly. You are doing good. Take care.
