Hi, I work full time and have a 10 month-old daughter so, needless to say, I am struggling to stay commited to wellness!
Before I was pregnant I was in great shape, took a yoga class weekly and ran/walked 3-4 days/week.
As the weather gets better, I really want to get back to walking/running outside. I started back to a yoga class four weeks ago, but have only made it to 2 b/c we got the flu :(. I will be back to it next Wednesay! I promise!
What are some of the ways that you are involving your kids in your quest for wellness?

Hi Celeste! I too was in great shape before and I'm struggling to find time and figure out how I can include my daughter in my fitness routine. I just purchased a Kelty backpack carrier for hiking and walking. This should hopefully be a great way to get a workout and bring along your baby and let them see the world from a totally different view! Have you had any experience with a jogging stroller? Mindi |

Mindi,
I have one and really like it. The trick for me is finding days when the weather is pretty AND I have an extra hour (or even half an hour). I did get a run in on Saterday and it felt GREAT! I am hoping to at least hit the pavement Saterday and Sunday of this week.
How do you like the back pack? I sometimes think that would be good for me or for us to do as a family.

Hi Celeste! I actually just got the carrier in the mail today so I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping the weather will be nice enough to try it out this weekend! I'm ready for summer or at least warmer spring weather! Yeah, my little girl LOVES to be outside too and everyday when we pull into the garage she sees her wagon and points to it and just loves wagon rides. That's great, keeps them out of the house! It seems like kids don't play outside much anymore and that's too bad! |

I agree. When we were young my Mom had to hogtie us to come in for meals and bedtime. My mom talks about one summer when I was a toddler that I refused to wear anything but a swimsuit :)
One of the things I like about our daycare is that they go ouside to play every day unless it is raining or below 32 degrees.
Hve fun trying out that backpack. I want to know how it goes.

That's funny about the swim suit, sounds like something a toddler would do, too cute! I plan on spending as much time outside this spring/summer/fall as possible! I'm hoping to try the backpack this weekend if the weather is nice. I was surprised how light the carrier was! Not so light with a 22lb baby though! |
