St. Louis Hyperemesis Support Group
Public group from Saint Louis, MO

anyone out there?
Hi,
Im in my 9th week of pregnancy and have just gone out on disability for Hyperemesis.
It is my second pregnancy as I have a 21 month old. I moved a couple years ago and most of my support lives over an hour away.
Im looking for an active on-line support group.
Is this group active?

Hi Alix, congrats on the pregnancy!! This group only has four members. One of the members is looking to start a support group in the st. louis area, but she has currently hurt herself. I am not sure how she is doing or if she has any plans for groups or not. I had hyperemesis with my daughter, who is now 17 months. Did you have hyperemesis with your first child?

I just realized that you do not live in the St. Louis area, so the support groups will not help you, I will be happy to talk to you online if you ever need anything.

hi alix-we are currently trying to 'boost' our membership so that any women that need support can find it.

i started this group because i recently just went through my fourth and final hyperemesis pregnancy, (i have three children) and event though online support is good, i wanted to start something that would provide local moms with in person support groups to attend and other local moms to lean on in these hard times. it helps so much to talk to someone in person-it makes a real difference.

as far as activeness-we have a small amount of members to be sure, but im sure any woman here would offer advice and online support to any other mama in need. though we are local to st louis mo, you are more than welcome to post any concerns, questions or needs here in the group and we will offer any online support that we can.

there is also the boards at www.helpher.org which are quite active.

welcome and good luck!
