I just wanted to extend my loops to everyone here. Not much is being posted so I wanted to see if we could get dialogue going. I started crocheting 1 year ago. I've always wanted to learn and I did. I taught myself and still am teaching myself. I currently am working on a daisy square that was designed for charity by someone named krystal. Not a very outspoken person that I have seen but nevertheless she has her heart in the right place.
What are you all working on? |

| I'm currently working on socks. I got hooked not to long ago. They are just the basic sock pattern, but it is perfect for me to work on during lunch. I just finished crocheting a few baby blankets. I have a few co-workers who are expecting , and I wanted to be ready for the baby showers. I've kept the projects small lately, but I think I am ready to get back to sweaters for myself again. I'm stopped nursing several months ago, and I'm finally starting to work through some of the "baby weight". I think the last time I made somthing like that for myself was 3 yrs ago. |

I haven't had the courage to make a sweater. I guess when I do I will have a hard time. I have to make two baby blankets because She is expecting twins. Also, I bought a sock pattern book and soon I will attempt that as well.

| You know its not really hard to make a sweater. A few really good sites to look at at knitty.com and ravelry.com. Knitty has free patterns that include everything from easy to advanced. Ravelry requires you to register (it is still in beta testing), but you can search for an easy pattern, or by a type of yarn you want to use, then see all the other patterns everyone else has used. This website has made finding patterns and using up my "stash" a lot easier. it has definitely made me more organized. ;-) |

| I'm lyeng11 on ravelry. Isn't it the best!!!. And don't worry about socks either. I was scared for so long, then when I tried one, I couldn't figure out why I was so scared to try them. I used the generic sock from one of yarn harlot's books. VERY easy to understand. I just used some really pretty spacedyed yarn and let that do all the work. ;-) Good luck :-) |
