Kudos to you! I was a teen mother. I get so mad at people when they just assume that because you are a teen mother that you are stupid and do not have any ambition or goals in life. I was a single teen mother, the father was not in the picture. My soft place is for teen age mothers and empowering them to achieve their dreams. Yes, it is hard to be a teen and a mother, but if you reach for your goals, you will achieve them. I am a very proud mother of a 20 year old and a 17 year old. My daughter is a junior in college and doing very well. She is responsible and level headed. My son is a junior in high school and has dreams and goals. They both are very loving and neither of them are teen parents, drug addicts or alcoholics, like people say children of teen parents will turn out to be. I have my BSW degree and will be starting my masters degree in social work next year. So, keep up the good work and stay positive and strong!
