Is Any Body Out There?
Seriously , is there any groups that meet in my area. I havent met any one since coming to T.N. 3 yrs. ago. I have 2 young children and have heard of groups that meet with thier kids for movies and play days. Would love to know if there is a program that exists like that here, and if not what can we as mothers that may find themselves in the same place DO to start one?

I'm not really familiar with the area that you live, so I'm not sure what could be around to help you start meetings and things like that. meetup.com may have a few resources for you. You could start a group through there to see if there is anyone else in your area. Also cafemom.com may have a way for you to try to meet other people in your area.

Again, I'm not familiar with your area, but places that I've met other moms have been the library - many libraries have an infant/child bookreading time - the local ymca - they usually have gymnastic classes even for infants - and a particular good resource for me in my area was a consignment shop which offered meetings for nursing moms. You may not be nursing but if you have a children's store in your area, you could post an ad to try to get some moms together for playgroup. Just a thought... not sure if it will be helpful, but I wish you luck.

Warmest Regards,
Stephanie
