My youngest daughter hates all food even her favorites sometimes depending on the day. Does anyone have a suggestion to get her more interested in food...she is very small only 24 pounds and she is 3 1/2 years this month. I have 4 other kids and I have never had this problem.

Have you seen that kids cookbook by Jerry Seinfields wife Jessica Seinfield I think is her name, they have it at walmart I can't think of the name, its all about hiding the foods you want your kids to eat into most foods kids like. I have been wanting to get it, my son isn't that picky but when you put something on his plate that he really likes he goes to town eating his portion and anybody else's portion he can get his hands on, so I just thought her book would have some new ideas, she has been on some of the talk shows and it seems to be a pretty popular book, check it out maybe it will help. |

Start with all the things that she does like to eat. Then pick out the things that are the most nutritious.Feed her those things and add maybe 1 a week of other foods.Fry foods w batter like some veggies.Try different spices.I cook my green beans w bacon and potatoes. They have those sweet potatoes now that look like fries.Corn can be put in yummy sweet corn bread. There is a mexican mixture w black beans and corn and a few other things that are wonderful in cornbread.I make homemade chip and dip for my kids about 1 r 2 xs a month. It has groundmeat in it and tomatoes.Serve w tomatoes and lettuce.Lexi loves next day taco salad. She loves ranch dressing.www.yahoo.foods has alot of ideas also.Just press in recipes.Youll get tons of free sights. |

Thanks for the suggestion...I called my husband and he is going to try and find that book on his way home...hopefully she will start to figure it all out...I have tried to hide before and it was not that successful, but maybe only introducing one new yucky a week will help her try some new stuff...
Thanks again... |
