Hi Rosalie

Thank you for starting this group. It will be nice to talk with other moms who enjoy taking photos. I was so excited yesterday when a barred owl was perched in a tree in our backyard. The day before it (I'm pretty sure it was the same one) had flown through our backyard and I had to walk quite a ways to get a photo of it and when I found it it was perched in a tree some 200 feet away. I got a good shot...but not clear or close enough for me. When I saw the owl in the tree in my backyard and it was about 20 feet away I was so excited I ran upstairs to get my camera and when I got to the window upstairs the owl was looking straight at me but didn't fly away. I was able to take quite a few photos before the owl flew away. I got a great close shot with the owl looking right at me. Looking into the eyes of the owl is mesmerizing. I can hardly wait to hear about the experiences other moms have regarding photos they have taken.

Welcome to the group Sandy! I believe we will have a great time...Awesome about the owl! I like taking scenery photo's- it's hard to mess those up lol. I also really like doing photo shoots of anyone-children, friends...you name it! I hope to one day have my own studio...but I have alot of learning to do!
