I can honestly say that I have never had a problem w Lexi taking meds when she gets sick.Make it sweet ;add karo? Bribe w a cookie or fav fruit?Drop of fruit and a drop of med?Mix it w fruit syrup and then get him to drink it from those med droppers?Peach juice is real thick and sweet. |

I used the infant medicine droppers and there were a few times I had to just sit him up on my lap and hold his checks. He wimpered a little, but he was ok. I had to do that yesterday. Good luck.... |

They have flavoring kits at walmart and most pharmacies can add a flavor of your childs choice. |

I had a little boy who had to take a lot of meds, I used to put meds into a syringe. If they were tablets I would crush them and put them in a couple mls of water. I don't know how old your son is, but we tried to make a game out of it.
I would pretend to taste the meds, and pull a funny face and say "YUCK!!! Thats the Grossest thing I ever tasted, now it's your turn".
I would also have to sing the song from Mary Poppins, you know the one "just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down" (this can be quite embarrasing in front of company - but it worked for me).
Just a tip, never ask if he wants his medicine - ask what would he like after his medicine, like juice or milk or a treat? |

thank you for all your replies! No matter what i did it didn't work, I finally had to take his medicine back to the pharmacy and have them add flavor to it, now he'll take it with no problems! thank you all once again |
