how can i get my son to take his meds.
I have a delima my son has an ear infection in both ears and his doctor prescribed him amoxicilin, well he don't like it and wont take it he"ll gag on it and spit it out (he 4 so..) I've tried to put it in milk like the handout suggests and put it in his yogurt which is his favorite but he seems to know and says it tastes like the medicine. I want him to get better and if he don't take it all he wont I'm starting to get real frustrated at him! If any one has any suggestions on how to get him to take it, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank You

Is it a liquid? Or is it the capsule with the little balls? If it's liquid you can get the prescription filled at Walmart and they can flavor it for you, I don't know if you've tried yet but it might help. When I was little my mom would break the capsules up in applesauce. If it's a pill you can crush you can try icecream, like sherbert. You might have gotten him to take it already but I hope he's ok.
