My son has done it he has said his first word at 12months old, 'yah' which was soon fallowed by hi(which he stated out saying to the washer and dryer). Now how could this be a problume, he has learned a nice positive word and not some four letter word. Well it is this he was also just getting the hang of no meaning don't do that or do not tuch. Now he finds it fun to just laugh and say yah and basicly argue back when he is doing a 'no' thing. I have tried removing him from the 'no' thing or place and placed him in his play yard, for which I get screemed and a tantrum for. Will he ever get that no means no. |

That is something we are trying, but I know he picked the ya up from us talking(my husband and me) on the phone a clear yes would be good. I just want him to understand no means no not no means reply ya and keep doing the bad thing. |

My daughter is 22 months and she did the 'no' thing until about 19 months. Try to not use the word 'no' so much around him and don't engage in a battle of the 'no's' with him. It took some time but it worked in the end. |
