Hi Renee. My name is Sheri and I am a mother of almost 16 month old boy/girl twins. I moved to nj about 6 months ago from Brooklyn. It's definitely not easy to meet friends in the winter. Where did you move from? Do you like living in nj? What are your children's names? Mine are Ryan and Samantha. I am definitely interested in some kind of play date. You can e-mail me at Sheri527@verizon.net. |

Hi Sheri. Well I moved from Elmhurst, Queens. My children are 2 1/2, 1 1/2, and 6 months. There names are Gabriel, Bastion and Lyra. I like living in nj, but don't like that you have to drive just to go to the park. It's really hard for me to get out of the house because of their ages. Where in jersey do you live, I'm from Monroe. I'm 30 by the way and have been married for a little over 3 years. I just started taking my two oldest boys to Gymboree, maybe you would be interested? |

I live in Freehold, nj. I know what you mean about having to drive everywhere. I can't imagine how you ever get out of the house with your kids! I have plenty of trouble with the twins! We actually just finished an 18 week session at gymboree. The kids were bored of it by the end and so was I. It is very repetitive and expensive! My kids are also going through a change in their naps and gymboree was interfering with it. I hated waking them up to go. There is a fun place not too far from me, I think in Marlboro called party gym. They have free play from 10am to 3pm and it's $5 a child to get in. There is a lot for them to do there and it's safe and clean. Do you know your way around yet? I don't! I just can't wait for the weather to get warmer so we can play outside and don't need the winter coats which makes everything harder!!! What have you been doing with your days since you moved? |

I'm trying my first free class at gymboree this wednesday. We'll see how it goes, it is really expensive though! Actually I have heard of party gym and was going to try that too. I do kinda know my way around, but still get lost when going to new neighborhoods; i'm good with route 9 to get me most places. So my days are pretty standard: feed, change diapers, play and then all over again. Right now i'm undergoing a renovation in my house, so I'm living upstairs with my inlaws which is hard because me and my husband and kids share 1 room, yikes! This weekend i'm taking the kids to the aquarium which is the only time we really get to go out with my husbands help. What sort of things do you do? Do you have any friends in the area? |

Oh my gosh...one room!!! My heart goes out to you!!! What a challenge that must be!!! We are also renovating our house but unfortunately we are living amongst the mess as we do it. My husband is doing all the work and it is going very slowly!!! If you ever need an electrician he's a really good one! Well, I actually live only 4 blocks off of route 9. Do you know where Target is? That's right near where I live. Which gymboree are you going to? If you'd like to meet at party gym one day this week I'd like that. Then if you like it, maybe you won't have to spend all that money for gymboree. You could go to party gym whenever you like. It'll be $10 for you to get in (I think the baby is free). If you go to party gym 18 times it will only coast you $180. But an 18 week session at gymboree is over $400 for 2 kids! Big difference. And party gym you can decide when you want to go and when you don't without losing money!!!! Anyway, I did meet 2 nice girls at gymboree and we have been meeting at party gym and sometimes have play dates. I met one other girl on this web site and we keep in touch but don't see each other very much. Other than that, I still talk to my Brooklyn friends everyday but that doesn't help me very much out here! Well, if you want to make plans feel free to call me 732-431-4899! |

Yeah i'd like to meet up sometime, maybe next week if that's ok. This week I have that free gymboree class, just to take advantage, lol, and then friday we are going to the aquarium. Have you ever been there? I know it's like 1 hr away from where we are. You are actually about 15 minutes from my house, i'm always going to that target. I would really love to meet up maybe next wednesday. I'd like to leave the baby behind with my father-in-law and just take the two boys. Let me know what days r good 4 u. |

I have never been to the aquarium. You'll have to let me know how it is. Where is it exactly? Next wednesday is good for me. Are you interested in going to party gym? Is around 10:30am good for you? I know it's early but I told you about my new napping situation. No more morning naps and I've been putting them down around 1pm after lunch...they are practically falling on their faces by that time! Well, let me know! We can figure out something else if you don't want to go to party gym. What did you do before you had kids? I was a 4th grade teacher for about 10 years. I'm happy to be home with the twins but I think it would be an easier day being at work!!! Talk to you later! |

Party gym sounds fine, but I will let you know for sure by the end of this week. I have to see if my inlaws will watch the little one. I don't know if you got the other message, but I was a fifth grade teacher and kindergarten teacher. I agree that being at work is a much easier day. I think I'm going to get a job at the goddard school in sept. just to make some extra cash. They let one kid attend for free and the other two get a discount, plus i'll be there with them all and it gets me out of the house. Well get back to me, have a good night. |

I never got your message about you being a teacher. What exactly is the goddard school? Do you need a nj license to teacher there? I know there is one by my house, is there one closer to you? Let me know about next week whenever you can. If there is some place else you can think of that would be easier for you with the baby, I'm up for anything! Talk to you later!

Hi Sheri, it's Renee. Sorry I never wrote back but I had all three kids and my husband sick with the flu for the past two weeks. I would still like to meet up as soon as the kids are fully recovered. As soon as one got better another one got sick. By the way does this group ever meet or is it just an online chat? To answer your earlier questions, if you still remember them lol, the Goddard school is like a daycare center for infants to 5 year olds. It is not religious, even though it sounds like it might be. It is a very good and structured daycare, almost like school, but the kids learn through play. Well get back to me when you can. Bye |

I'm sorry to hear everyone was sick. I hate how you just keep passing the sickness around to everyone and it takes forever for everyone to get better. If your kids are still a little sick we should probably wait until next week to get together. Are you free next wednesday? Let me know!
