words that come back to haunt
okay, I am just curious, how many of you out there hear yourselves in the things your children say? For example, when I am scolding my boys I have a habit of saying, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" and of course what do I now hear from my boys? The exact same phrase with the exact same accents as I use. Kind of scary. I don't ever say anything hurtful towards them but it is just so funny that I truly hear myself in them. Makes you stop and think before you speak that's for sure!!!

My daughter does that too...when she plays with her dolls, she will look it straight in the eyes and tell it things. Sometimes it makes me feel good...other times, well...I just want to crawl in a hole!

I understand totally. Especially when it comes packaged with the finger point and the same enunciations as I use. I guess they really do hear what I say huh???
