Hi Lauren, How far are you from the Cape? I do like it, but for me, it's hard to meet people. Plymouth seems huge, but it is really small. Everyone knows someone, who knows someone. Where on the Cape? |

I lived in West Yarmouth. My Mom grew up in Barnstable, that is where we usually go back to visit since we still have family there. Right now I am about 3-3.5 hours from the Cape. I live in South Deerfield (Yankee Candle?). It is extremely small and it took me the better part of a year to even find a playgroup. It can be really tough staying home and not having an 'outlet' during the day. The weather makes it even more difficult. We've met a couple people on this site but it seems pretty hard to schedule a time to meet with all the naps, etc. We manage to stay pretty busy, thankfully, now that my son is 1 it is much easier. |

That's great you found one for you and him. I know it is really hard to find one, and then get along with the other moms. I am sometimes shy, which appears as if I am standoffish or snobby, which is further from the truth. Even though I live really close to the Cape, I don't go that often. Work, kids, you know life, keeps us from going a lot. My family, who all live in PA, are always saying you guys must live at the beach. It's funny, but now I know it will always be here, I just save it for another day. So you said you did meet people through this site. There is hope yet. |
