Ready to throw away the bottle?

My daughter is 9 months old, and lately she has been refusing her bottle. I started giving her one of those sippy cups with a straw, she does very well with it, she holds it herself and gets a drink when ever she's thirsty. But since she's started with that she has been refusing her bottle more and more. Today i put her formula in the sippy cup and she gulped it down. Is she ready to throw away the bottle? Or is this just a phase?

I would just give her whatever she'll drink out of. If she doesnt want the bottle anymore that's great! Just let her have the cup and go with it--it will make weaning a breeze if she just takes a cup at 9 months and you don't have to fight about giving the bottle up!
