Hello Christina,
My name is Kelly and my husband is going to be stationed in Korea in March. I was wondering if you could tell me about what it's like there. Sorry I don't know anything about Ft. Drum

My husband is there I was not able to go with him. Because of his rank E5. The military would not pay to move us there. From what my husband has said the main side is ok but were he is is pretty "Trashy" for lack of a better word. Sorry I dont know to much about it but good luck

Hi, my name is Chelsea. New to the group. My husband just spent one year in Korea at Camp Red Cloud. We are now in Fort Gordon, GA. Korea was very hard on us. There is like a 15 hour time difference, so whenever I was going to sleep, he was getting up and vice versa. He was out in the field a lot, so there were times when I couldn't speak to him for a week or two. He is about to be deployed to Iraq in July

I'm not sure if the Parents As Teachers is available to you but the national web site (http://www.parentsasteachers.org) shows a PAT program at Seaway Trail Even Start in Watertown NY.

I have utilized PAT at Ft Knox, Ft Leavenworth, and Ft Hood and have nothing but good things to say for the organization. They have home visits to evaluate your children from ages 0 to 5 (pre-K) and often have 'group meetings' that resemble playgroups to non-PAT moms.

Hope this helps. If not it is not too hard to form your own group--I've got a pretty good handle on that since the Army assigned my husband to an area near Houston (no Army post here and definately no ACS playgroups!!). I formed my own group that now has over 15 families in it.

Good luck!
