I am a stay at home mom, and my husband and I are always trying to have a date night at least once a month, how do you do it? - by the time he comes home and I put the kids to bed at say 7:30- 8:00 i am tired, or he is lazy from a hard day at work, and we wind up sleeping by 10p- with no date... how do you keep the romance? any suggestions? |

I'd like to know that answer to that question to. My hubby and I haven't had a date night in about 5 months (right before the baby was born). We did have time alone right before Christmas, but that was more Christmas shopping than a date! We're just too tired by the time the kids are in bed to do anything. Especially me! |

My husband and I try to do a date night once every couple of months....we find it is easiest to do it on a Sat. night because then we find we are less tired. We always have the babysiter come to our home and we go out earlier (like around 6 or 7). In between date night, after our son goes to bed, we rent movies and cozy up or we'll do a game night were we play cards or whatever (were big game fans..lol) - it's a lot of fun and (game night impeticular) helps to unwind after a crazy day - we usually end up laughing our butts off having a great time.
Hope I've helped - Good Luck!!! |

I agree, it's tough. We usually wait until my mom comes for a visit and then plan to go out once our 6 month-old's asleep. Mom can handle DS, but we still cut the evening short, going either to dinner or a movie, but not both. |

Date nights are the best, but for us as well they are too few and far between! :( We try to get out for a nice dinner-date alone on special days like Birthdays/Valentines Day/New Years Eve, etc...but in between we just don't have time/money/babysitting coverage, etc...it's tough! We cuddle up and enjoy dinner at home after our son goes to bed, some TV time and some hugs...they can work wonders, but I'll tell ya...getting dressed up nice for a night out to dinner starting off with a slighty dirty martini at the bar - HA! Heaven!
