My little is used to beeing in a daycare with lots of other kids and since we moved 3 months ago, my husband and I decided, that I should stay home for a while to get used to the people and the place. Since being home my son has been bored to death, he missed his friends and his sister, being in big school now, can't stay with him at home. I can't keep up with him and he is not particularly impressed with me being his playmate. I would love to have somebody for my son to meet and maybe be a friend. |

Where are you at? I am in the same boat with my 18 month old. I was home for a year and then went to work for six months, decided to stay at home with him, but he and I are racking our brains for something else to do. I love being with him, but feel like he needs some little friends. |

I am in Crystal River, Florida. My son loves being in school and doing all the activities and outings that they have. I can only go to the playground as many times as we could but he wants to do something else other than that too. We try to get him into some extracurricular stuff like karate but since he is still too young and not potty trained yet they wouldn't accept him yet which is frustrating for him and for us. Poor boy, I am hoping to find like a toddler gym for him, just something for him to do. I know it is hard to go back home after working, I can't help being bored sometimes but what I would just have to think that this is what is best for my son and this time is a good bonding time, we would never have this time again. |

Queenie please use the search tab at the top of this page, you can put in your zip code and it will give you all of the members of the entire raisingthem website that are close to you, you may be able to find someone close. I would also suggest to try some place like a YMCA, my son is in a seaweed/tumbleweed class which is a half hour of swimming and a half hour of tumbling. You should also check out the children's department at the library, they may have crafts, story times geared to your little ones and that will help you find other children and play groups. Good luck and let us know how things go. |

do not know why my computder keeps posting things more than once but Queenie you may also want to check out a book called The toddler's Busy Book, 365 creative games and activities to keep your 1 1/2 to 3 yr old busy. There really is only so many times you can swing or slide at the park but this book is great at giving you other ideas to entertain the both of you at the park. |

Go to www.meetup.com and search for a playgroup in your area. I am a member of a local playgroup through them, and we always have 3 events at least every week to go too. |
