New mom in the area

I just moved in the area 3 months ago and I would love to meet other moms. I have 2 kids, one is already in school and I have a 3 year old boy who missed his little friends from back home and I am sure he would be thrilled to have somebody to play with. I would appreciate if somebody could give a little advice about the place and maybe a playdate.
