going to church etc
Hi all, I am married to a man who doesnt really come to church with me and our son. He has been baptised 3 times in the past in 3 different Christian demoninations and I dont even know what he is now. However, I am wondering how important you all think it is that the father also be part of the same church family or church at all. I really want my son to grow up to be a God fearing man and to stay in the faith but of course that's a mother's wish and I can only do so much to show him (and my husband) that the best life there is to live is one lived following Jesus Christ.

I think it is best if the husband, wife and child all attend the same church. My parents were of different religions and it was really confusing for me. Best to stay at the same church and show solidarity to your son. My opinion :)

I think your job is to keep teaching your son about God while he's little, and soaking it all in. Your husband is accountable to God for his actions and you for yours. Just keep being faithful, attending church, and praying for your hubby. Leave it in Gods hands and if the oppertunity arises gently ask your husband if he'd like to join you two to attend different events at church (there are always kids events through the years). Keep showing him love and respect and be a Godly woman yourself. In the end your son will have to decide for himself to accept Christ, and while it's ideal to have a Godly man leading the family, there have been so many good faithful men who came to know Jesus because of their mother's influence.
