Hi all -
I'm new to the group and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm a SAHM with a 2 year old adopted daughter from china. I also have a 14 year old step-son.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people from this group and hope to get some advice on how to raise my kids in a Christian home.

| Hi Cathy and welcome to you! I am a 43 year old first time Mom with a 2 1/2 year old. We live in Santa Monica and are interested in having playgroups in our home or at a mutually convenient place for everyone. I would love to speak to you about what I do to interest my daughter in the Holy Family, praying and learning about our Lord. Thanks and welcome again. |

Well, on Sundays I go to St. Monica church. At 9:30 they have babysitting and then I am able to go to mass. I found a board book with little prayers about God and we read that. Also, in her room we have a picture of Mary and the baby Jesus. Since she was very small I have taught her that Jesus loves all babies. Jesus was one of her first words. I would love to take her to church but she is just too 'squirmy' at this age. We have enrolled her in a christian preschool here in town but it isn't due to start until September.
Please let me know your ideas as well, and, maybe we can get the kids together for playtime!
