Infant potty training?

Hi, I was reading about how more and more parents are "potty training" infants from birth. I know it sounds cooky, but supposedly it is good for parent-child relationships since you have to be very alert to their pee/poop schedules & helps train them sooner on the potty, etc. I cannot imagine having a baby diaperless all day at home & all the messiness everywhere! But I'm wondering if any of u or people u know have done this too? Does it work at all? It's interesting to me....I think I might just be crazy enough to try it with our next baby (if that even ever happens :-)

Daisy, we just returned from a night visiting my parents and were talking about this very topic. I would be interested to see any replies you get on this! Hopefully bumping this back up to the top, maybe someone will see it who has done or know anyone who has done this. I'm with you..can't imagine the messiness!
