I was wondering what happens to the father if he doesn't pay child support? Also, I've had an order for child support through the government services for over a year and for some reason the father of my child still hasn't been served. I know where he is everyday and I told my case worker that. She told me that there is no way to get ahold of the person who is serving the papers and that he has a lot of papers to serve. So, if they knock on the door and they don't answer then they don't come back for a very long time. Anyways, I don't know why it's taking so long. I have tried to get my case to court and my case worker said that I don't qualify and that I am not able to switch case workers either. Has anyone else had this problem?? I really feel like I am getting the run around and I definately don't have money to get a lawyer.

Yea i know exactly what your going through. I went through that a few months ago and in the end i found out that its not worth it cause God will take care of you and your child and your childs dad for not being there. So i try to do my best with what i have and i work full time and go to school. its able to get done and its a bunch of bullshit with the case workers and stuff and i think that they are lying to you cause i have changed my case worker and to get out of getting support from them i told them that i was taking him to court for child support and custody. it is against the law to do both at the same time so they are wrong. Follow your gut and your heart and dont forget to pray and you will be ok.

Lisa...that really sucks! I have no idea how long it really takes to get Child Support...I have govt insurance for me and my son and my son's father got papers right around my sons first birthday...and now I get a lousy $200/month! agh. I hope things start moving a little faster for you!!!
