I love the fact that we finally have a woman running for President. Can you imagine if all the women got together and we pen up all the men in the world until we need them. lol ! jk I am also glad that Obama is running for president. Its about time.I went to Wikipedia and read up on him and his wife.He seems like he'd be great.Martin Luther King Jr.was an honorable man. Jessie Jackson is an honorable man.I wished that he would have went further than he did. Please tell me what you think. After all;we do make up most of the votes.WOMEN!!!

I totally agree that its about time we got a woman runng for President and also having a black man running too. I am still undecided who I will vote for. I dont catergorize myself as republican or democrat...I am an american woman who just wants the best for the country and what's going to be better for my children. They are my main concern, so whoever can provide better for my chilren in the long run has my vote, but we won't know for sure till they start the debates next year.
I think it would also be great to be able to use men when we need them and put them back when we are done like using a toothbrush. hahaha. Not to be mean, but it does sound so conveinient for us!!

My hubby has a comment:He seems to think that this country will not ever let a woman or black man be president because interest groups already have picked a candidate that can be swayed into what ever the interest groups want. There has never been a woamn and never will be.And at the slight chance that 1 of them would win,the interest groups would threaten them away like they did poor Ross Peroe.

That's what's wrong with our country today....they seem to think that they can control everything in our daily lives from what car we should drive or what light bulbs we can use. Its surprising they dont have someone accompanying us to the restroom and holding our hands and telling us how to use the bathroom. Don't get me wrong, I want whats best for our country AND our kids, but don't tell me what I can eat, how much, and when or anything else they feel that they can shove down our throats. There is a good side and bad side to everything and no matter what we do in this world, they will continue to try and run everything that happens in the world. The thought of a woman or even a black man being presidentis great, but I have to agree with your hubby. I'm not one to talk politics or anything like it, cause I frankly don't understand most of it, but when you hear everyday, I listen every now and then and I just think to myself, "HUH?!" They say one thing and go and say something else that totally contradicts what they just said. It's just confusing to me, but I have my hubby to explain to me something that I don't understand and that helps alot.

I think interest groups count of the fact that common citizens think they are powerless and really their vote will not make a difference. A lot of underprivileged and poor people do not vote and they are the ones that have a real need for changes.

It is really a duty and responsibility to vote there is no need to complain afterwards.
I really do not like that my vote in NY will not count as much as the one in South Dakota and probably for this reason Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama will not be elected.

Tell your neighbor to go to vote, offer to babysit their children, drive an old person to the voting station...let's be pro-active about this next election!

Lexi,
I have a feeling your husband is right. Sad!, but true. If you get time, and I know how limited that can be :-)...check out the documentary called Zeitgeist. http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ You can download and watch online. My pick for President: RON PAUL!!!

i think it would be great to have a woman president and she has proven that she can survive the good old boys, the ones who tell us what to do and THAT WE NEED OIL.

however sadly if clinton and obama don't stop fighting they are going to be usurped by someone else.

i think edwards is a good guy, but at this time in his wife's life, he really should be treasuring every moment with her.

I think this is the most interesting Presidential race we have had during my lifetime. I'm glad we have a woman running and Hilllary is very capable and would make a good President. I would like to see a black President as well, but I don't think Obama has the experience that is needed for the Presidency.

If either Hilary or Obama win it would make history...I am Democrat and will be voting for Hilary.
