Father as a second choice?

Most of the cases the mother has custody of the kids, do you think that there are cases where the father might be a better choice but it is seldom taken into consideration? Do you think the fathers are not getting a fair chance to fatherhood? Vero

I don't see anything wrong with this if he is able to stay home and give them the emotional support and comfort they need. In that case mine would be ineligible because he works off a lot and he needs help :) and emotional support for himself.
