I am looking for a playgroup...
Hi my name is Hilary. I have a son who is one year old and I am also looking for a playgroup. My husband and I are are in the process of moving back to Lincoln from Bennet NE and I am a stay-at-home mommy who is desperate need of some adult interation during the day as well as my son needs some friends! I am new to this site...can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hi Hilary, I'm Jenni. I am a SAHM and we also have a boy who is 1. I haven't been on this site for a while... I live in Lincoln and have gotten together with a couple moms and went to a playgroup from another site (cafemom.com). We also go to a playgroup on Tuesdays at the Willard Community Center on Folsom (between "A" street and Capitol Parkway). It's from 9:30-11:00. We've missed the last few weeks, though because some things came up and the weather was yucky. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you more information. It's good to meet you!

Sorry I took so long! We've been busy with the holidays and now our little guy is sick - I think he's finally getting better.

I assume that they are having a playgroup at the Willard Community Center next week since school should be back in session. I will call and find out to let you know for sure. If our son is still coughing, I think we'll skip it again next week but will let you know. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year!

Hilary, the playgroup is from 9:30-11:00 on Tuesdays. It's in the preschool rooms and you can enter through the side doors from the parking lot. They have all sorts of toys, pirate ships, cars my son loves to push around the floor, leggos, power rangers, an art/craft center, kitchen playset, puzzles, books, and anything else that's accessable/ in sight. It's all free play until around 10:35 and then we clean up, wash up, and they offer a snack. We help clean up, but usually when we head out without snack since our little guy wasn't doing well with new foods. I haven't been since right before Thanksgiving. I did call again this morning since I didn't get an answer yesterday and they are having it - I think we're staying home this time though. All the times I've been there it's been fun for our son, but a local daycare lady has brought her 7-8 kids (a few of her daycare kids go to preschool there) and there weren't any other moms but one time. I'll also PM this message to you.
