Well, I have a story that I think is funny, I am not sure if anyone else will find humor in it or not...
Okay... today has been crazy, like always! Earlier this morning Becca woke up with a horrible rash down below. I tried to figure out what I could do to make it better, then I thought maybe I should just leave it alone so I don't irritate it anymore. So I decided to put a "cloth diaper" on her. Keep in mind I had no idea what I was doing, so it was loose and looked a mess. So I did it, put a pair of comfy pants on her and went about my business...
I was on the phone with someone talking about my business and Becca was playing... While I am talking, I am thinking "I think I smell poop..." I check her, there is none. I'm like ok, I guess she has gas? Like 5 minutes go by and I keep smelling it... I'm like ok, something isn't right here? I look down at her and she has poop everywhere!! In her hair, her hands, her ear... just everywhere!!!! So, I check her pants again, nothing. Then, as I walk around the corner I see it smeared all over the kitchen floor!!
Then I realize, the "diaper" was so loose, it rolled down her leg and onto the floor... where she decided to play in it. I know, nice, right? So I am still on the phone with this lady I barely know, trying to clean up the poop; with Becca in one hand, the phone on my shoulder. Then I finally got her in the tub, cleaned up the poop and still did what I was trying to do with the lady on the phone... It is a good thing I know how to multi-task ( I think I gave it a new meaning for myself today).
Now I ask you... what would've happened if this were my husband and not me?!
Sorry if you didn't find humor in this... I am a little strange, I know! |

Actually, I think it's hysterical. My daughter did something "similar" a while back. She was naked right out of the tub and she came up missing. I walked into the dining room and there was this beautiful perfect little pile of poop (I HAD to take a picture). She didn't play in it though - thank God - there's carpeting in my dining room. You definitely are a multitasker - go you. |

Hi Kimberly, I am the mother of a two year old boy and have another on the way in April. I applaud your ability to keep from laughing while on that call. My son, Nicholas, has started taking off his diaper in the crib, pooping and then covering it with a blanket and when I enter the room he stands there pantless and say "uh oh" so I feel for you.
I am currently working but hope to stay home with the kids once Matthew is born in April. I am wondering what sort of work people have been able to do from home to help bring in some extra money while staying home with their kids. Anything you all can share is appreciated.
