Hi Everyone! I am new SAHM for about 2 months now. We just recently moved from CA to AZ for me afford to SAHM. Its been a struggle for to meet people and been overwhelming. Still not getting the hang of it being at home with my baby who is 11 months old. I have a older son who 6 and he was a baby till first grade, I was working and going to school. Its a big change from doing alot of things and talking to adults to being at home with my baby all day. I know its very beneficial for our kids and seeing them flourished. Sometimes i missed the outside world. I am very shy to new people so its really hard for me to get to know people. All my friends and family are all in CA and we are the only one here at AZ. Its been really hard for me for the dramatic change in my life. |

Hi Grace, what a lovely name!
Well its sounds like you are already on the way of growing out of your shyness, Good for you! Christmas is the best time too, people are generally more friendly and there are many activities to jump in on. AZ must be nice to be able to go for walks his time of year. What groups, libraries or churches have checked out yet? |

Hello Grace, welcome to the group.Yes I went from Tx to Mich and its been hard.I still have only 1 friend here.I left everyone I knew and cared for there.Thx goodness for this sight.Everyone has been so friendly and helpful w things.Well maybe you can look on this site to see if there are any groups for moms in your area for playgroups.I called my library. They gave me some numbers but most were out and gone. Some times the city can direct you to some of those things and if you go to church, they can also. |
