Welcome Ladies. I am so happy that we have had so many new members. I think maybe the holiday's all make us want to work on our weight loss. I mean how can we not think about it with all that good food. I see that Tina has already jumped into the conversations and I am very pleased with that. Thank you Naomi! Yes, I really would like to lose a few pounds before my husband gets back. Naturally I want to look as good as possible when he will see me again.lol My goal is to lose ten pounds.

Hey! Pacing while on the phone DOES count!

I think the new step-counting info is to shoot for 10,000 steps per day. Usually to get in that many you are going to have to do some walking for walking's sake BUT your around the house or around the office steps count!

You can purchase a pedometer very inexpensively at Wal-Mart (and other discount merchandisers), like $3-$5. I spent the big bucks ($20) and got one that also keeps my walking time and calculates caolries burned and distance traveled.
