My son was 3 1/2 before he was totally potty trained. Like your son, he would go #2 in his pullup, but sometimes he would go in the toillet. Sometimes he would go #1 in his pullup. It was very frustrating. I told him he wouldn't be able to go to nursery school if he didn't use the toillet all of the time. I'm not sure why, but this seemed to work. He hasn't had an accident since September. I have heard of children who asked for a certain toy and the parents wouldn't get it until the child used the toilet. I have also heard of parents using "potty charts" where they get a sticker/ candy if they use the toillet so many times. One friend put her child in underwear and he stopped going in his pants (this didn't work for me- very messy) I had another friend go without underwear for 3 days ( of course they stayed home for these days) and after that he consistntly went in the toilet. Good luck with the training. I think when he's ready, he'll do it! After all, he's half way there!

I do all that potty sticker chart as well even give him fruit chew candies when he goes pee and have bribed with w/bigger and better stuff and it doesnt work. Like u said it will happen. He will be starting gymnastics this week so im hoping I can bribe him by saying he cant go unless he poops in toilet LOL .......god it sounds so mean :O)

My oldest son was pretty easy to potty train. It did take a while to get the #2 down but I used a chart with stickers and suckers and that worked.

Now my youngest son was something else. He was very hard and like you I tried everything! From trying to put him on the potty every 30 mins or so, stickers and other bribes to no avail. Honestly I gave up and you know he eventually did it on his own?! He was 3 and 1/2 almost 4 before he went potty and it was both #1 and #2. For him he just had to do it on his own. Before he was potty trained I even tried leaving his diaper off so he would feel when he had to go. The little sucker (j/k of course LOL) would hold it in forever till I put a diaper on him. He was that stubborn LOL. I had to stop that because I didn't want him giving himself an UTI. So it all really depends on the child

I had one like that, too. He'd go find a corner somewhere to hide and do his business in his underwear! This maybe sounds gross, but I started making him clean out his own underwear. That stopped it, at 3 1/2.

I wish I could make him clean it but I know he would throw up first LOL
