Hi everyone. I was wanting to let you all know what is going on. I know a lot of you may not have met me yet but being mommies, I knew you all would like to know. My newest daughter, Danielle, is in the Pediatric Intensive care unit at Scottish Rite right now. She was spitting up blood, for the second time. They have already ruled out the throat and stomach. Her xray indicates something is going on with her right lung but we have not found out anything else yet. I am sending this to you to ask you for your prayers right now.....I am praying it'll bring my baby home and into my arms. Thank you. I'll keep you all posted. Love, Age Magerfleisch and family |

UPDATE: I am very sorry you all have not recieved an update lately. They moved us to another room and I was not able to get to a computer. We were in a respritory room (it was our recovery room...just regular patient rooms) and then we were transferred via ambulance to another hospital (Egleston). There they did one more test to rule out the heart and we were free to go home. She is acting like a very happy normal baby. We know she has seizures and therefore she will be on seizure medication for the time being. We never found out where the blood was coming from but there is a very very high probability we never will. So from what we know, that night she vomited formula from her reflux while she had a seizure....what we are assuming is that that seizure triggered some sort of cycst or hongeoma (sp) to burst and thats where we believe the blood came from. We will be doing another CT of the lungs in 2 months (once the blood/fluids clear out of the lungs completely). I am very glad to have her home and very much believe we will never see the blood again. Since we can keep her seizures under control with medicine and I can just handle reflux.....I am calming down again lol. We will all be on pins and needles for months to come but I am so glad to have her home and so happy. I truly believe all of your thoughts and prayers brought her home to us. Thank you all so very much. I will never be able to thank you all enough for bringing my little Danielle home. |
