UPDATE: So far nohting has changed. She is breathing a little better and they are going to decrease the amount of air she is getting from her ventillator so she will be breathing on her own a little more. We are having to wait for the body to absorb the blood. Once it is clearer, they will be doing another CT scan of her chest to see if they can find anything. So far, her head, throat, bones, ears, blood are all looking fine. We are waiting on the eye dr to come check her out and thats it for now...then HOPEFULLY, all of the drs will get together and brainstorm. That should hopefully happen in the next couple of days. So, right now, nothing looks like it is wrong in odrer for her to have that blood. So we are all scratching our heads and hoping we'll get an answer that can be fixed easily and quickly. Now we wait... Thank you all for your prayers and PLEASE keep on praying. |

UPDATE: They HAD a aspirator (air pump thing for her to breathe) in her until today....this was progress when they took it out. She can breath on her own now just fine so if there was something in her lungs that was bleeding it is not now. I actually got to hold her for a little bit (a few hours after she had all of these tubes off of her). She laid in my arms sucking on my paci and I looked up at her heart rate and it plummetted and she went stiff as a board and started grunting...the SAME thing she did that night but with no blood. They have now told me that they gave her a medicine to stop seizures and it worked instantly. She is now calm and breathing just fine on her own still. So still no breathing tubes b/c she has strong enough lungs. So they did an immediate chest xray to see if her luns changed at all (blood or anything else strange looking) but it was all just the same as the morning. Now the nerologist is involved and they are doing an MRI tomorrow. Scarey news but I am SO glad she did it b/c now they have more to go on....AND now that I know what a seizure looks like I can say she had little seizure the first time and a big one the second. So there is still progress even though it was scarey to get here.

I am amazed how strong you are! I am so glad to hear that she is off that aspirator that is good news in itself. I hope some of the answers start to come once they do the MRI, we continue to pray for Danielle and your family.

hi adrian,,, my thoughts and prayers are with you. both my kids have spent time in children's hospital, so i know you must so worried. you seem to be a very strong person, but i know it's got to be hard. with x-mas just around the conner, it has got to be even harder. we will all pray for your lil girl's safe return to your arms by x-mas. hopefully the doc's can find what's wrong by then. |

Our prayers are with you right now, and we are glad to hear that there is some progress, even if it's small. You are being very strong and that is what Danielle needs. Don't overlook the power of positive thinking either, staying positive that they will find out what is wrong and fix it can be more helpfull than most people give it credit. We'll keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the updates. |
