My son Cole can be sensitive yet in the next breath be crazy too! I just think that he doesnt know how to express himself. Make him sit and tell you what he is thinking or what is going on inside him. After a few minutes of arguing he should give in and let you know. I always let Cole know that I am one of the few people who will never judge him and that even the most difficult questions he might have I will try to give him an honest answer. I hope this might work. |

I have 3 boys..the oldest is 11, the middle is 8, and a newborn. My 11 year old is ALL about attitude and seems to be pushing his boundaries really hard. I kept chalking it up to him going into middle school this year and having to deal with all that brings along. Turns out, had more to do with the reaction he was getting from me than anything else. He knew he was making a nervous wreck out of me everytime he'd do something, I'd react by getting very angry and upset and that's apparently what he wanted. Ever since I got some advice from a family friend that said to do the contrary, things have been slowly improving. My only advice is to react in the complete opposite manner than you had been before and see if you can see any improvements. Best of luck!! |
