I love the idea! I would love that. We should do one for the kids to! Like maybe one short story for the kids and a good book for us parents. just a thought. I will try to think of some books that i have been dying to read!

I don't particularly care for this idea. I don't have a lot of time to read, so I'm pretty (extremely!) picky about what I read, so unless I get to pick all the books (which obviously isn't fair to others), I don't think I would enjoy this and it would suck a lot of pleasure out of what should be my escape.

I think it sounds great.Maybe the way to do this would be for us to make a list of the books that each of us would like to read maybe like 10 or 15 and that way maybe some would match up and that way you could read some that you wanted Indi. Then after Kyleen has our lists she could post them and we could go in alphabetical order of our names and pick a book to read out of those lists. That way everyone could pick a book and not get left out.I want to remind also that there are chat systems like my husband and I have called Teamspeak. It is a small program that you download on your pc and you talk with ppl instead of typing. That also could be away to discuss books. It is very safe w/o the worry of virus's or God forbid ppl that hack and try and hurt ppl.We run an online game for ppl all over the world and have 3 firewalls and other special programs for protection.

Indi I completely understand what you mean so if we continue with this idea then maybe you can atleast take a look at the posted discussions and maybe find something that you like, Also I love the list idea and we can either go by alphabet or I can put three or four book names on the poll on this page and allow everyone to vote and the one with the most votes will be chosen for that month...

Oh listing 4 r 5 to vote on sounds good. That way we can vote like you said.Well I'll go first on my list then.I like Nora Roberts,Dannielle Steele,Stephen King,Koontz,Mary Higgins Clark,Lucado.I read alot of sequence stories. If I go to the library, which is weekly, and I see a sequenced book selection and I like the story line I get all the books.I am up for most anything myself. There are alot of women books I read but I cant for the life of me remember her name. She writes on horses and tracks. There was a friend of mine that told me about a vampire sequence. The author is finalizing her 4th book which I think came out on the 27 or 28 of Nov.If you like that sort of thing, that is.

Lexi thanks so much for the suggestions and if you like sequence books you should also look into David Baldacci,Vince Flynn and for really funny female based mysterys you should look into the Plum series by Janet Evanovich there are a few more but my mind is going blank...

I was surfing around on Walmart looking for prices for polymar clay and Books came up.I have no earthly reason why'but I saw 2 books that looked good.Koontz new 1 if you like this author The Darkest Evening of the Year. And the other 1 I saw was Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. This 1 I will definately look for at the library.

Lexi, Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors and Dear John was a wonderful, heartwarming story. The great think about his books are that they are relatively thin and easy to read in a short time. Also as far as sequence novels Sarah Strohmyer has a sequence of books about a hairdresser/investigative reported named Bubbles, they are very fun easy reads with humor, romance and mystery.

Well lets try and pick a book to read for the ppl who want to read it.I am going to the library Monday and can look or have anything ordered from all the librarys.I am up for anything fiction.I am looking forward to this. The nearest book club for me is like 15 miles and they meet in the daytime. They dont provide daycare for the event. We can go to the bookstore on line and look and each suggest 4 books a piece;then Kyleen can pick through them.

The Vampire Chronicles that I brought up last week is called The Twilight Collection by Stephanie Meyer. Her 4th one was suppose to come out late Nov.,but it wasnt on their list yet.My 4 books for the picks are The Darkest Hour, Koontz; The Choice ,Nicholas Sparks;Nora Roberts, Blood Brothers;and The Wednsday Letters, Jason F Wright. I went to www.barnesandnoble.com and pushed the recommended books and bestsellers and new releases.

I don't have much time but I really want to read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I read Kite Runner and I love this author and his style. I have to skip anything by Nicholas Spark, it is not my taste but I will check any other choice.
