My son is already a very picky eater! I thought that all started a little later. Anyway, he no longer likes me feeding him with a spoon, unless he gets to eat finger foods himself. My son likes yogurt, cereal, tofu, eggless pancakes/waffles, ravioli, lentils, carrots, & fruit. What are other healthy finger foods appropriate for his age? I end up making him the same things (cereal/blended tofu/fruit -- yogurt/wheatgerm & veggie/fruit -- ravioli/veggie burger/veggie/fruit). Yes, he still breastfeeds 6 times a day. Any tips will be appreciated.

You said he breastfeeds 6 times a day, maybe decrease that and the less he breastfeeds the more solids he may eat. This will also help him ween and does he drink from a sippy cup, maybe offer a sippy cup with his meals. |

He looks like a healthy baby boy. When my son was small and able to feed himself, I would offer him Kix Or Cheerios for cereal, oatmeal-the whole oats, not the one minute kind, add a little bit of butter, maple syrup and some milk-or breast milk if you'd like.
I would steam brocolli, carrots, potatoes. Offer him sweet potatoe, yams, butternut squash. My son loved "pesto" instead of the marinara sauce. Dinner: chicken-farm raised, brown rice in chicken broth. I hope this helps. |
