Holiday craft day?
Would people be interested in having a holiday craft "playdate"? Those that have little ones that are too little to make something can play (or just lay there, if that is what they are into LOL) and mommies of tiny ones could make crafts too. I was thinking of maybe something like salt-dough ornaments or something, but I'd be open to other ideas. I was figuring we could do it on a weekend, so Emily could come too. Maybe on the 8th or 9th? Let me know what you think.

Sounds like fun to me! Just let me know when and where. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

I wanna go, sounds like fun. When and where? What do we bring?

How does December 8, at 2ish at my house (in Vandercook) sound? I'm still working out the what to bring details. I'm thinking we could make cinnamon ornaments and maybe another craft while they are baking, or bring your own cookie sheets to bake them at home if you don't want to wait for them to bake here.

Dec 8th at 2 works for me. Let me know when you decide what we should all bring! (I love crafty-projects, although I'll probably spend more time chasing Julian around!)

That's the nice thing about having it here, Emily. Things are mostly fenced-in and/or little-one proof/resistant, so not too much chasing is required. Remember, I have a 2yo and a WALKING 8mo, so we're used to small trouble-makers LOL

Unfortunetly, I have bad news. My daughter Kira is really sick and was hospitalized over the weekend. She has a really bad viral infection. Also, I just found out that poor Airyana (Jamie's daughter) has RSV. She is currently at the hospital herself. I don't think we will make it to the craft get-together or anyother for a while. I hope you all have lots of fun though!!! Brenda and Kira

Wow, that really sucks about your babies! I hope they get better soon!

Just got home from the hospital last night. Airyana is doing much better but, still really congested and having a hard time breathing through her nose. As Brenda already posted she has RSV, which is extremely contagious and while may only feel like a cold to an adult or older child can be fatal to an infant. With that being said I want to encourage other mothers on the importance of washing your hands especially this time of year when colds are more prevailant and the dry air weakens the immune system. The health of our children and others is up to us! Please inform everyone you know, with children or without to wash their hands well (at least 20 seconds to kill germs) and often. There is no medicine for RSV, just the child's own immune system. This virus can be passed in the air and on surfaces. It lives on surfaces for two weeks, so disinfect. When out in public and cannot wash your hands use a sanitizer. If you are concerned about your hands getting dried out with conventional hand sanitizer you can use a lemon essential oil (you can probably find it where Indigo works). This can be applied straight to your hands without diluting and smells great. Have fun at the crafty get together! Hopefully will see all of you and your little ones in a couple of weeks.
