I just wanted to say welcome to all the new ladies. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. We are in the process of moving and with the holidays right here things have been a bit crazy! So Welcome!
I am going to try and set up a date for all to meet and get to know each other and for the kids to play. I know with the holidays things are crazy for all of us, so if time slips by we will definatly be getting together after the new year. If anyone else wants to meet on a certain day or at a certain place please feel free to initiate a "play date" for all to attend.
Please try and post pictures of you and your kids so when we do meet up we know you arent a scammer. This is for our safety. I am thinking of trying to set up a v-mail system so we can voice verify and make sure that all members are in fact woman and not scammers preying on moms.Since they would know when we are meeting...Im sure you get the picture. I just want to make sure we are all (moms and kids)in a safe environment! I could also set up an email account where you can send pictures. Each member would have to send one of themselves and one of them with their kids so we could make sure you are infact the person they say they are...Please let me know what you think of this ideas. You just never know the crazies that are out there.

dearest ashlee,
good luck with your move! i just got my daughter's school pix from woodcrest in tarzana and my son goes to buttercup preschool (part of the las virgenes district). so i will somehow learn to scan them. yes i have a scanner, but am a computer dum dum so please bear with me, ok?

Dear Ashlee,
You are right: there are lots of crazies out there. I like your idea of a v-mail system.
Please keep us posted and I will also try to load a picture. The main problem I have been having is that our camera has too many pixels. Often exactly this prevents a proper download. |

| So the v-mail system I was going to use is no longer available for free. It was an internet system that can be checked by phone or through your computer. I had one for my own personal use and they actually stopped it on Dec 15th. I am so bummed...but i will continue to look for another service so we can use it as a group! Let me know if you have any other ideas too! |

One more thought...for those of you like Sibyl...here is a free download that i use for my pictures. www.irfanview.com
after you down load you open it up and
go to "file"..
"open" your picture and
go to "image"
go to "resize/resample"
and click on "half"
then "ok"
and that usually fixes the pixel problem...
Hope that helps with all your picture stuff..i use it all the time! |
