Do you like crocheting or knitting? |

I had not knit since I was 15 (that it a long time ago), and then I saw a friend doing it and I start knitting again. I am not very good but it is a great way to escape everybody while you retain a certain sociability.
What is your story?

Thanks for this group! I haven't knitted in awhile because my wrists get really sore. I think I am doing something wrong. Do your wrists hurt when you knit? Crochet bothers my wrists a bit less and wrist/hand supports seem to help. I prefer knitting. I think I have some major tension problems because I even bend my needles. |

The way I knit is by putting one needle under my arm and I think that really helps not too put too much tension of my both wrists all the same time. I try to knit sitting on the sofa instead of a chair because my back as a better posture.
I hope it helps,

Hi, glad to join this group. I'm new to knitting. In fact, I only had one lesson, which was months ago and although I bought some books and material, have not managed to stick with it. I do have a 10 month old son, so maybe that explains things. I really would like to get back in to the groove and knit some beautiful pieces- even a scarf would be nice. Are there any books or references you can recommend that are user friendly for a beginner? Thanx, Rach |
