I have never considered not having an epidural after watching few episodes of "a baby story". I end up having a spinal and nothing hook up to my body for hours which was nice.
Have you made a decision or will you decide when the moment comes?

i am hoping to have mine naturally if all goes well. my friends and family think i'm nuts for not wanting an epidural but for some reason i feel like since this is my first that i need to experience everything. ya know for better or worse. i think it would make me feel much closer to the birthing process and therefore to my child. |

I'm planning on trying to not have an epidural, but I will reserve the right to change my mind when the time comes. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this question - it's just what you feel most comfortable with. I'd like to think I can do it without, but who knows! |

My Doctors office asked my how I felt about an epidural and I said "Can you meet me in the parking lot?" I am a baby when it comes to pain. :) |
