how are your neiboors? just need to vent!
hi all. sorry, but i kust need to vent about my crazy neiboor. let me start by telling you the whole story: me and my husband moved from denver, co to tieton, washington in june of this year. tieton is in the south-eastern part of the state, 12 miles north of yakima, wa. we looked for a remote area because of my husband's hobby. he restores old cars. living in the city would never work with people complaining about "old" or "ugly" cars, parts, and power tools. so we found a perfect place out in the country. the owner has plans to build a new garage, an addition, doesn't mind the cars, let us have our cats, ect,,,,, at least we thought it was great. til we meet our neiboor. now there is two access roads to get our house. one from the main road, one from the side road. both are right down the middle of our and the neiboor's prop. line.the city says rhat we nor our neiboor can put anything on the access road because we both use this road, but our CRAZY neiboor desides he doesn't like us on "his side" of the driveway, so he put up 2feet wide by 6 feet long concrete and rebarb blocks. you know, the kind you build over-passes with? now, besides being just plain ugly and intrusive , he's blocking both access roads from not only us but three other houses. THESE THINGS ARE SO BIG YOU CAN BARELY GET A GEO DOWN THE DRIVE! now how i ask are we supost to get to our house with the stupid things in the way? if a fire breaks out, they'd never get a fire truck back there to put it out! we've already been to the city to complain, and found out that our neiboor was sued back in 2001 for putting a fence down the middle of the drive before. he has no legal right, we know, i'm just frustaited cause the city's taking their good-old-sweet-time about getting around to moving this s**t! in the meantime, we have to damn near walk our kids down the block to put them in the truck to go to town! this all started because one day my mom came to get me and the kids for a doctor's appt. and had to drive on his side of the drive do to road work the cith was doing on the main road! talk about a certifiable nut job! and how are your neiboors?

Wow, sorry to hear you are going through all this. Our neighbors are just anti-social. That's not so bad. I don't know how it works in WA, but in IN it is illegal to block access to another persons residence. A trip to small claims court would get you a court order saying he has to move the crap and the sheriff should enforce it. Good luck!!!

Oh hunny... don't feel bad, they must be related to my neighbors! We've been living here for about 8 months... never said a word back and forth. We have a dog and there is a chain link fence between us and them. Their cats are always over here in the trash and teasing the dog... no big deal. Then one day this huge truck pulls in the driveway... I'm like what the heck is going on?! I go outside and it was the SPCA!! She called them and said that our dog is on the loose and he is neglected and he has been peeing on her fence! The dog is old #1 and #2 he lives in the house!! He didn't mean any harm!! So, we agree to take the dog out on a leash, blah, blah blah...
So, like a week later I am trying to get in the house with the baby, we had been gone for a long time... of course the dog runs outside and pees (you guessed it, on her fence)! So what does she do?! She comes out just a cussin'!! F this and F that, your damn dog pees on my fence again I'm calling the police. So I said a few choice words to her as well. 10 minutes later the cops are at my door. She told them that the dog scares her and he peed on her fence again. Then she said that I came onto her property and started yelling at her and cussing at her. So I was warned by the officer. I told him to let her know that as long as her cats were in my yard, my dog would continue to pee on her fence and if she wasn't so damn nosey she wouldn't have known about it in the first place!!
So that was about 1.5 months ago and we have not had any new problems as of yet. But I would assume the next few years should prove to be interesting!!

we live in an apartment complex and our upstairs neighbors are college students who don't ever sleep, don't know how to load a washer, and as a bonus they have a drumset. and our neighbors downstairs drink we always see them with alcohol no matter what time of day. the other neighbors in the building don't like us because well we have chastized their children for running up and down the concrete steps. we were just worried that the children would fall and hurt themselves. not to mention the evil shittsu that lives in the front apartment that barks at everyone and pees on everything it can reach including doors and vehicles. i like the apartment but i don't like the neighbors.

Ick! Welcome to the neighborhood lol. Well, My neighbors constantly ask to borrow money and diapers. This would be understandable if money was just tight for them. They drink away their whole paycheck within days... Leaving the bills and the children screwed. I had to stop giving them diapers because I need to afford my own! Not to mention, the mother sleeps until noon, and the baby sits in a wet diaper for the day in a highchair. ugh!

I would call cps about that neighbor, I like the sledge hammer idea! My husband wanted to strangle our old neighbor. She was the most inconsiderate piece of trash ever! Her kids were sweet and the 8 year old would even say her mom was crazy. It was hell and after fighting with the office and then the property owners and the cops we were let out of our lease. we had tried to get out of it 6 months ago but they wouldn't let us. so my hubby would just call all the time and got a lawyer and all. finally we were released due to the fact the apt. mngr wasn't reporting every thing to the main offices and they let us out without the fee. Now I have a calm happy husband that i like again... it was so bad it affected our relationship cause he wasn't sleeping. he would tell me that people can go crazy from sleep deprivation and that would be the reason he was one day going to lose it and just make her disapear good thing we found a house i like my husband out of jail better.... really having to pack up the baby to visit him, and the drive it would have been a pain...hehehe but it really did suck for the time we were there.
