Everyone has advice for soon to be and new parents, it seems to come out of the woodwork from the moment the pregnancy is made public. Some advice is way off base but some can make the lives of new parents a little easier, so take a moment and share the best advice you have received so far as a parent. |

The best advice I ever received was to follow my heart. If it felt right I did it. It does not always work out for me now that I have a 2 year old! You are the child's parent and you know in your heart what is best for your little one!!! |

Don't worry. My mother told me that if you let the everyday worries of being a parent get to you, that you will worry away the best years of your kid's childhood. Deep down you know what is best for your kids, and worrying that someone else does or told you to do differently will be get you nowhere. |

When I was a new mom I was flooded with all sorts of advice ( most of it unwanted ). It seemed like the advice I was getting was conflicting and I was totally confused. The best advice anyone gave me was to not listen to any of it and to do whatever was right for me and for my son. How ironic. The best advice is to ignore the advice! |
