I have a good question for you all. My daughter is a little over two, and we are starting to get her interested in potty training. Does anybody still use the gerber training pants with the terryclolth reinforced crotch and the vinyl pants over them anymore, or does everyone pretty much use pull-ups? I am not sure which way I want to go. Part of me thinks that pull-ups are too much like diapers, and all of my clients who teach nursery school HATE them. Please let me know your thoughts/opinions on either of these.
Thanks, Jennifer |

I had the same predicament with my daughter, i tried the pull-ups, but she'd just use those instead of the potty. So, I ended up putting the training pants on her in the day & a pull-up on at night. It not only worked in potty-training her, but it also saved lots of money on the pull-ups.
thanks, Heather |

That's kind of what I was thinking about doing. I figure it will be harder to train her for overnight so I could use a pull-up then but I thought if I used to training pants during the day she would really feel wet and not like it. I just don't know anyone personally who uses the training pants anymore. Thanks for you input Heather. I appreciate it. Jennifer |

That is what I am going to be doing with my son, I remember when we were trying to break him of his pacifier and everyone said to just let him have it when he was getting ready to go to sleep but he did not understand why he could not have it when he was out of his crib once we finally just got rid of it that was the end and I think that the pull ups might cause the same confusion so we will only use them at night. |

That is what I thought sounded the most logical. I asked my daughters teacher what they do and she said they prefer to put them right in underwear. She said it messier, but it works much better. |
