Insomnia
I need some help. I couldn't wait for my son to sleep all night, he's 16 months. Now he can sleep and I can't. It's going on 2 years now. I have tried drugs and I really want to get off them. Any suggestions???

I dont have any suggestions but i am going through the same thing. My son sleeps fairly well through the night now but i cant. I am up a bunch of times a night and it takes me forever to fall asleep. This hole week i have been waking up at 4 am and not being able to go back to sleep at all. Its been going on for about a year now for me and i havnt taken any meds for it. I am afraid i wont be able to wake up in case my son does. My fiancee, cheys dad sleeps very sound and doesnt wake up even if he is crying in the same room as him. Im curious to see what others suggest and i hope you can find something that works for you.

Have you tried relaxing for an hour before you go to bed, take a bath read a book, watch a little tv that helps me.

I had that problem when my son started to sleep through the night. It will get better. Your body gets used to getting up at night and it takes awhile to get used to not needing to. I take a hot shower using lavander soap. Then I read a book. You could also look for some herbal tea. There are some that helps to relax. I hope it gets better soon.
