Topic of the Week - How Do You Handle It All?
Sorry this is late!

Homeschool, dishes, laundry, cooking, errands, housework, spending time with God. How do you get it all done? Or do you?

LOL!!! No, I don't get it all done. Believe me. I've about killed myself trying. I've even almost end up in the nut house, but I don't get it all done. What I do is prioritize what needs to be done & done the most important things first. Then, I go down the list & hope to get as many things done as possible. Oh, a lot of prayer also helps, too. LOL!!!

We don't get it all done, either. We don't even necessarily get the important stuff done first! But the whole family works at it.

I feel a little bad sometimes when my friends' kids' talk about having to their chore (singular) every day. My kids have at least 5 each per day: a big one like dishes or laundry, and some smaller ones like picking up the living room, feedling the pets, straightening the bathroom and such.

Everything gets done here....I wish. By the time I get most of the house clean it's friday and everyone is home and making a new mess.

I am NOT good at projects that you get done, and then have to redo over and over. When it's done, I want it to STAY DONE.

Needless to say, housework is an exercise in frustration for me!

If there IS such a person out there that DOES get it all done...I'm afraid of them!!! LOL When you have children, there's just no way to get every little thing done, PERIOD, especially if you homeschool on top of everything!

At my house the laundry is never "done", but sometimes caught up, the cobwebs are ornamental and the dust is very dusty. I like to call it "country accent" since we live in the country. Home interior came out with a line of products (mostly greenery) a few years ago that had a "dusty" look and they called it "frosted", so I either call my dust, "country accent" or "frosting"!!

I do have my children on a chore schedule, my husband loves to cook and does so often, but our home is not a "show-case" home by any stretch!! And as far as spending time with God...I talk to him all the time! :)

OH it all get's done. I have a perfect house, husband and children.....................LOL ok so I can dream right?!! I have gotten a little better at it then I was last year but I still have cobwebs around and we have stuff shoved under our beds (shh don't tell anyone LOL) Shockingly my hubby's been helping out some too! Now I am just starting to wonder who took my hubby and replaced him with this one. Well not really wondering who as much as I am hoping I get to keep this one LOL!!

Crystal,
I like that about the dust. My man claims that the dust is protecting the furniture, lol. I too have things under the beds and my livingroom looks like a toddlers dream world. Emilie doesn't have her own room so her toys are all over.

All of you are so funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets behind on house work. I talk to God all the time, too. LORD, Help Me Get This ALL DONE!! LOL

It's so nice to know that we all have the same daily struggles and aren't afraid to talk about them!!! I know it makes me feel like I'm not alone in the daily "fight"!!! Thanks for sharing everybody!!!
