Kelly Lee's Intro
My daughter is 11yo, going on 23! Girls these days seem to mature a lot faster in some ways than in my generation. I'd say she's tweenage right now - halfway between childhood and adolescence.

Rachel is all about wanting attention. In fact, she wants to be a performer/actress "so I can be famous. I don't care anything about being rich." And when she noticed the mean girls at school getting a lot of attention, she started hanging out with them and acting just like them. It got so bad that she was treating us at home like we were beneath her notice, she had alienated her best friend (and only good role model friend), and spent so much time worrying about who said what and how she was going to respond and thinking of the "best" putdowns and was her friend today and who wasn't that she wasn't doing well with her school work.

We finally pulled her out of public school about a year ago to homeschool her and she has improved quite a bit. But she wants to go back to public school!
