the question for this week is about trick or treat: Will you let your toddler have candy for trick or treat and will you be taking extra steps to monitor the safety of the candy? |

I will be monitoring the safety of candy. In fact some of relatives have asked what candy Nicky likes and I have been suggesting his favorites fruits instead. |

I will take my son trick or treating, but I don't think I will be giving him any of the candy. I will probably send it home with my nieces and nephews. My family usually buys him a shirt or small toy. |

Both of those suggestions are wonderful, last year we took Allen trick or treating and he was still an infant so my husband and I ate the candy but this year I know he is going to want to try it and I am not sure how I am going to handle it, my family is very good about just giving things like fruit snacks or small toys but my in laws are not so kind. |

I sometimes think all in laws are that way. |
