So I was wondering what everyone does for Halloween. My son is two and we will probably just dress him up and take him to a few of our friends and neighbors homes. I am making him a turtle costume this year, as apparently they are his new "favorite" thing of thie week.LOL. I might just have to pull out my nun costume and be a pregnant nun this year. HA! Anyone have anything fun planned or any cool family traditions? |

I've been pretty excited about Halloween this year. I've been planning on turning my belly into a globe, wearing black everywhere else and putting glow in the dark stars on the black. I can carry a fan and act like I'm hot all night. I was going to call myself global warming, but I think now my husband should get an Al Gore mask, and I can go as "An Inconvenient Truth". That's funny on a couple of levels.
Of course, I may not get to do any of it. I've been having contractions pretty regularly, so the midwife told me to rest. I may be skipping the Halloween party I was invited to.
I'm looking forward to next year when I have a little one to dress up- even though she won't understand what's going on yet! |

Ooooh, Jenny, Did they put you on meds or anything to stop the contractions? I had the same thing just after we met and started having contractions four minutes apart. I am now on meds to stop the contractions in hopes of making it at least to 36 weeks. Good luck and I hope you get to celebrate a little. TTYS |

My daugthers's school is having a Halloween Party and we all are going...I don't know safe places to go trick or treating so I guess we are going to do the school party only... |

I'm not on any medication, just instructions to rest and drink LOTS of water. My contractions were 2 minutes apart, but not exactly painful. I'm going to see the midwife tomorrow. It's a long story, but it is possible that I am 3 weeks further along than I thought. I find out tomorrow. I hope that's the case, because I'm pretty sure the baby has dropped in the last few days. Suddenly I can breathe, and I have to pee every 15 minutes!
I'll at least celebrate with some candy! Bring on the chocolate!
Demaris, you should try taking your daughter to the South Hills suburbs for trick or treating. It's a bit of a drive, but the rich people in Mt. Lebanon give great candy! That's where I used to take my sister. |

Do you remember the name of the street or a place around so I will have an idea...? |

Try the neighborhoods surrounding Mt. Lebanon High School on Cochran Road. There are lots of kids, lots of cops, and good candy. :-)
