Hello
Well, let me be the first. Hello everyone. I am a 30 year old stay at home mom of two, almost 3 y/o boy and 14 m/o girl. I am currently getting my bachelor degree online and will finally finish school in Feb. 2009 (hooray!). I live in North Canton.

I would really love some moms to vent to.. my son is going through a horrible stage right now and every day has nearly driven me insane!

Ok don't have much time, but wow I'm right there with you. My son is 13 months and going through a rough stage too.He has this problem playing with others at our house. When we go to Little Gym or Library he is great. Kids come over and he is such a BULLY. I'm losing my mind, he is into EVERYTHING.
Also, I saw you wrote in your profile how you are finding an intrest in Charity work. ME too. I am doing my first event tomorrow. I am going to a Middle School to do a Challenge Day, which is where you play games and get kids to open up and talk to you if they are having any troubles at home or with others at school. I'm so excited!! I've always wanted to volunteer my time to help kids and I FINALLY am going to do it. Well I have to jet, but I will talk to you soon.

Oh, it's been awful here. Yesterday I was in the basement working on some class work on my laptop when I hear my daughter start screaming. I run up the stairs and before I even get to the top I smell a chemical/medical kind of smell. Eli has gotten into the bathroom and dumped a bottle of Benadryl Gel all over Gabby's head. It coated her face, was all in her eyes... I was horrified. I called Poison Control because it said on the bottle to keep away from the eyes. There is nothing like thinking you may have blinded your daughter by not paying attention. She is fine, thank god, but I had to do this horrendous eye flush... it was like administering some kind of Chinese torture. Normally, he is a really sweet boy and he loved his sister. He wasn't trying to hurt her, probably just thought he was giving her medicine, but it was just the capper to a horrible week. He has been raging and throwing tantrums and refusing to listen and mouthing off... just today we had a 30 minute time out during which he threw a tantrum the entire time. I finally got him to calm down and be nearly quiet for two minutes and then pulled him out before he started again. I am literally at my wit's end.

That sounds like a really wonderful thing you are doing tomorrow. I am studying to be a teacher because I really want to make a difference in the lives of kids somehow. It breaks my heart to pieces every time I hear some news story about kids being abused or hurt in someway by the adults in their life they are supposed to be able to trust. How did you get into that? What will you do with your toddler while you are there?
