Halloween projects
Re: Halloween
Hey Kyleen, there is one thing I did for my toddler, who is now 3 1/2 yrs. Last year we got a pumpkin, and got paints and anything he can write on the pumpkin with, like glitter and such, and aloud him to go crazy on it, like a coloring book. He is too young for carving, so this was great for him too do. Needless to say, he was very proud of his decorative pumpkin. Hope this was helpful, and good luck!

Thanks Roxy for the idea!!!

Re: Halloween

Hello-

Some things we do with our toddler is decorate those little pumpkins with yarn, googly eyes, marker of course washable ones. This year Michael's has foam pumpkins that you can do the same but with foam. We also, have made Haunted Houses kind of like gingerbread houses, using graham crackers and other halloween candy. We have done a lot since we have Halloween party at our house each year and of couse we have lots of crafts. Also, check www.familyfun.com they have cute ideas for halloween crafts. Hope this helps!!! Have a great day!

Thanks for Melissa

Thanks to Kim for the idea!

Re: Halloween
I just found a great idea to use empty milk cartons.
Draw faces on them and put string lights inside to light up!

Hello-

Some things we have done is make a haunted house kind of like a gingerbread house but with all of the halloween candies, my son loved it. Also, if you want something easier you can take black paint and on white construction paper handprint your child's hand onto the paper so the thumbs are touching and make it look like a bat. I agree www.familyfun.com is a great site to get ideas. This year we are making sugar cookies and cutting them out like pumpkins and ghost and decorating them. Hope these ideas give you some other things to do. Enjoy!

Thanks to Elizabeth for this idea:

I like to get pumpkins and decorate them or paste leaves to paper and let the kids color all around or on them!! it's lots of fun!!!

Roxy, I took your suggestions on the pumpkins and yesterday my son and cousin (who is 10 months older than my son) painted pumpkins with glitter sticks and markers and they had a great time, I am hoping to be posting pictures soon.

let them paint a pumpkin with craft paint and put that up for your inside decoration.

To decorate our picture window this year we outlined my son's handprint and part of his arm for a tree trunk. Then we got those foam Halloween sticker cut outs (walmart 2.99) I let him take a basket out into the woods and we collected up many leaves. When we returned on the picnic table I let him admire his collection. Then we made scarry Halloween trees. We stuck with a glue stick the leaves to the ends of the fingers and I let him stick the stickers all over the background paper. We hung one in our window, then we sent one to both grandma's and our great grandpa. Boy what a surprise to get a card with my little guys handprint...
