Sure, that would be great Jodi. I started my children on cereal when they were 3 weeks old. I know the Dr.'s don't like that now a days, but I figure that's how Mama's fed their babies in the old days. Plus, my Mom gave me much advice too. Make sure you make the cereal very juicy. I found it very helpful to bathe my babies right before bed time, and then feed them a little cereal. They both slept much better after having a bath and their cereal. |

Thanks did either one of your kids have trouble with pooping like my lil one goes but she has to push so hard its not hard either.Ibought prunes to mix in her cereal last night and she went this morning with out as much pushing as usual but i was wondering do you think it would be ok to give her a couple of her lil spoon of straight prunes to make it go along more smoothly or just keep mixing it at night.Isee the doc on the 19 th but i know hes probably going to say she shouldnt be having cereal yet i mean he told me at 6 months she can have some water mmy mom was like thats nuts... |

Jodi, My son had surgery on his large intenstine when he was 5 weeks old, because the opening wasn't large enough. So they had to cut the pylorix muscle. He had a lot of trouble pooping.
My daughter had some trouble, but it was because of her formula. Similac constipated her, so the Dr. changed her to Isemel (sp wrong I am sure) Also, she couldn't handle rice ceareal, so I had to give her Barley instead.
LOL. I agree with your Mom. Dr.'s are crazy these days. If they only knew how early their own Mothers began feeding them. I would continue mixing just a tiny bit of the prunes. |

Yea thats what my mom says lol she says dont listen to him about the cereal cause there full of it but if you see her come out with a rash just stop giving it to her thats all cause thats what the big thing is allergies so i am going to listen to my mom cause she raised 3 kids and did it with all 3 .But i do also like to get tips from other moms cause some things that worked for her might not work for me so thank you.. |
